VOID
As part of a campus interior redesign, I wanted to explore a concept that other designers could relate to. The result is a visualization of the technical and mental void that designers and artists like get sucked into during the process of creating. Whether it be second-guessing decisions, technical difficulties, creative block, or simply losing track of time; we get absorbed into our work and enter our realm of organized chaos. Abstract ideas are represented using connotative graphic elements such as code, binary, a mouse icon, key shortcuts, an engulfing spiral, and a cautionary color palette.
Applied as an AR enabled, 10' x 11', vinyl wall paper mural at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, and was chosen for display on the annual school pocket tee. 2019.
