AMISTAD HIGH SCHOOL

Achievement First Amistad High School, a public charter school, sought a fresh new look to more accurately represent the school. The original logo, a traditional emblem centered on an academic torch and a book, included an excess of information such as school values, Latin text, and location details. These elements dated the logo and limited its usability.

By taking the primary graphic elements of the original logo—the book and torch—and presenting them in a new, creative manner, such as the negative space within the 'A' (standing for both Achievement and Amistad), the visual consistency will enhance recognizability while simultaneously conveying an updated and modern brand identity. Eliminating unnecessary elements and text improves overall readability and scalability.
